Research

The Centre has broadened its disciplinary, thematic, geographical and chronological remit. It now pursues work in the history of emotions at any time and place around the world, building innovative multidisciplinary approaches.

Over the course of its life, the Centre has developed a range of humanities methodologies for analysing emotions in past societies in Europe 1100–1800, and shaping the world we live in today.
