Do you like taking photos? Would you like to show your work on the public screen at Deakin Edge at Federation Square? The ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions, Multicultural Arts Victoria and the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) are inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to be part of Screening Melbourne, a three-day symposium (22 -24 February, 2017) charting Melbourne’s history and relationship with screen culture through presentations, panel discussions, industry events and screenings.
There will be two free workshops with artist, Lauren Dunn. Using your mobile or camera, you will be guided through the process of creating photographic images that relate to 'Your Melbourne – place, belonging and identity'. Alternatively, if you can’t make the workshop/s, you can submit a jpg image file to screeningmelbourne2017@gmail.com
A selection of works will form part of a projection that will be accompanied by an intercultural musical ensemble at Deakin Edge, Federation Square on Thursday 23 February.
