Dr Angela Hesson, Curatorial Research Fellow, ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions, The University of Melbourne
While popular conceptions of love tend frequently to focus upon romantic love, the exhibition 'Love: Art of Emotion 1400‒1800' explores love’s varied manifestations across the realms of human experience ‒ familial relationships, religious devotion, friendship, altruism, patriotism, narcissism, materialism and nostalgia. Discover more about this exhibition and the expression of love in art in talks by the exhibition curator Dr Angela Hesson.
