Jennifer Wright is a PhD student at The University of Western Australia. She completed her Masters Degree at McGill University in Montreal, researching Thomas Coryat and attitudes towards travel in 16th and 17th century England. Her current research explores expressions of solitude and isolation in early modern British travel narratives, using the ‘history of emotions’ as a methodological framework.
